Allister is a repeat entrepreneur with a PhD in Machine Learning and an MBA from London Business School. As well as 10 years developing technology in the renewables industry, he has built and operated business units in Asia, Continental Europe and the UK.
Claire started her career in Morgan Stanley where she specialised in derivative pricing and electronic trading. She then worked with growth stage companies such as Uber and HelloFresh after attending Stanford business school for MBA. She has built and led strategy and operations team across EMEA as well as advising for early stage companies.
Sam started his career in the City working for top U.S. law firms. He specialised in the formation and regulation of Investment Funds, working on a number of high-profile launches. More recently, he focused on ESG products, and has advised on major carbon offset issuances.
Virginie brings 3+ years of experience in developing conventional and Deep Learning Computer Vision-based products from prototyping through to production. She has a broad range of experience working in startups with a positive environmental impact and likes to sharpen her skills by learning from peers in data science competitions or by participating in conferences. Maren Pauly completed her PhD in Natural Sciences at the Freie Universität Berlin, where she investigated past environmental change in tree-rings as a means to understand thresholds and tipping points in the climate system. Maren brings additional experience in climate change disclosure from scoring at CDP, carbon emissions measurement and standards from her work at Beta Analytic as well as forest and wildlife conservation from technical bid writing at the Zoological Society of London
Aga brings experience of bridging the gap between Data Science and Engineering in settings ranging from investment banks to tech companies. With 4+ years of experience working with spatial data, Aga is a regular contributor to open source humanitarian mapping projects. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a keen hiker and a drone pilot.
Hamid completed his PhD at Princeton University where he combined machine learning techniques with climate models to explore atmospheric behaviour around cities. After working at the Max Planck Institute for meteorology, he joined the University of Reading as a Postdoc where he worked on various projects including land use classification using machine learning, computer vision and satellite imagery.
Abhishek has 3+ years of industry experience in building state-of-the-art Deep Learning products. He specializes in Deep 3D networks, different sensor modularities, network quantization and optimization. Abhishek is an avid speaker and loves to contribute to the open-source community, a huge sports fan he watches everything and plays a few, an Athlete, a Real Madrid F.C follower.
Monica started her career in the biotechnology space, working in clinical trials for rare diseases, and consulting for 5 different startups in silicon valley. With a great passion for climate change mitigation, she then applied her science background to a MSc. degree in climate change, environmental science and policy at King’s College London, where she built and deployed air pollution sensors in India. A major foodie and avid traveller, talk to her about any country or cuisine.
Annalise brings experience in commercialization and new product development as co-founder of a subsea remote sensing company. She is passionate about bridging disciplines to develop data-driven and scalable solutions to tackle climate change. Annalise is an adrenaline sports enthusiast and half decent potter.
Michael Naylor has been a board member and investor in a number of successful sustainability related businesses, most notably K Road Solar LLC in North America; and New Energy Finance (sold to Bloomberg) and Soltech Energy AB in Sweden. Michael is a Non Executive Director of the London FTSE listed Jupiter Green Investment Trust plc, where he is Chairman of the board. Advisory Board appointments include the $400 million Toronto based water private equity fund XPV Water Partners LLP, and the $1.3 billion Energy Fund III of the emerging markets private equity firm Actis. Michael was a founding board member of the NTR Foundation in Dublin and in 2013, Michael joined the board of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
